The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by -0.11% to close at 4569.00 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has lost AED 0.82 billion attaining AED 741.15 billion. A total of 360.74 Million Shares were traded with a total value of AED 490.42 million during the trading session of 09-03-2016 through 4783 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 34 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 13 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 19 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 141.27 million distributed over 83.48 Million Shares through 1027 transactions. Dubai Islamic Bank came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 74.56 million distributed over 11.53 Million Shares through 430 transactions.
Takaful Emarat shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 1.98 with 2.59% increase during the trading of 96 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 186.38 Thousand. Whereas Financial Advisors shares Increased by 2.56% to close at 0.36 AED during the trading of 10000 Shares with a trade value of AED 3600.
Bank Of Ajman has achieved the lowest decline by -3.56% to close at AED 2.17 during the trading of 184.17 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 0.4 million. Followed by SHUAA Capital which dropped by -2.13% to close at AED 0.46 during the trading of 1.9 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 0.88 Million.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 6.757%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 42.45 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 59 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 41 companies.
As of 09-03-2016, the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 17.5814% to settle at 3767.68compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 9.33% to settle at 3900.86 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 8.51% to settle at 5252.95 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 7.29% to settle at 76.4196 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 3.46% to settle at 1985.14 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 2.04% to settle at 1417.57 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with an increase of 1.56% to settle at 2925.82 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 1.20% to settle at 3372.80 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -0.6% to settle at 965.807 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -4.7% to settle at 1213.00 points.
