The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by -0.03% to close at 4484.64 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has lost AED 202.89 million attaining AED 727.47 billion. A total of 0.75 Billion Shares were traded with a total value of AED 0.95 billion during the trading session of 21-03-2016 through 8672 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 65 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 20 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 39 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 183.76 million distributed over 108.03 Million Shares through 1545 transactions. Gulf Finance House came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 107.44 million distributed over 128.37 Million Shares through 1015 transactions.
Gulf Cement Co shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 0.98 with 7.69% increase during the trading of 25 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 24.5 Thousand. Whereas Aman Insurance shares Increased by 4.03% to close at AED 0.65 during the trading of 0.54 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 339.74 Thousand.
Fujairah Building Industries has achieved the lowest decline by -10.00% to close at AED 1.44 during the trading of 506 Shares with a trade value of AED 728.64. Followed by RAK White Cement which dropped by -9.77% to close at AED 1.20 during the trading of 4080 Shares with a trade value of AED 4896.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 4.785%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 51.9 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 57 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 47 companies.
As of 21-03-2016, the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 13.0405% to settle at 3622.18compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 11.4% to settle at 5395.38 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 7.83% to settle at 3847.28 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 7.08% to settle at 2054.60 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 2.65% to settle at 1426.02 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 2.22% to settle at 3406.78 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -1.4% to settle at 2837.51 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -2.4% to settle at 948.202 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with a decrease of -2.8% to settle at 69.1688 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -3.1% to settle at 1232.48 points.
