The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 1.56% to close at 4356.37 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 10.82 billion AED attaining AED 706.66 billion. A total of 1.63 billion Shares were traded with a total value of AED 2.05 billion during the trading session of 2016-02-29 through 17932 transactions. The number of companies which has been traded is 70 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 37 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 27 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 0.57 billion distributed over 414.38 million Shares through 4032 transactions. Amlak Finance Company came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 265.15 million distributed over 174.29 million Shares through 2223 transactions.
Arabtec Holding Company shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 1.44 with 14.29% increase during the trading of 414.38 million Shares with a trade value of AED 0.57 billion. Whereas Amlak Finance Company shares Increased by 12.77% to close at AED 1.59 during the trading of 174.29 million Shares with a trade value of AED 265.15 million.
Financial Advisors has achieved the lowest decline by -9.95% to close at AED 0.40 during the trading of 0.97 million Shares with a trade value of AED 385.19 thousand. Followed by International Fish Farming Company which dropped by -9.88% to close at 6.57 AED during the trading of 5000 Shares with a trade value of AED 32.88 thousand.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 1.788%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 30.25 bn. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 46 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 46 companies.
As of 29-20-2016, the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 10.0437% to settle at 3526.15compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 5.51% to settle at 5107.66 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 4.25% to settle at 3719.48 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 1.74% to settle at 3390.95 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with a decrease of -0.1% to settle at 1916.24 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with a decrease of -0.9% to settle at 70.5372 points. Followed by the Services sector index with a decrease of -2.3% to settle at 1356.47 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -2.4% to settle at 948.589 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -3.3% to settle at 2783.27 points.
