Emirates Securities Market up by 1.49 percent

The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 1.49% to close at 4631.26 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 11.02 billion attaining AED 751.25 billion. A total of 0.68 Billion Shares were traded with a total value of AED 1.25 billion during the trading session of 14-04-2016 through 9997 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 66 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 26 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 34 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Emaar Properties came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 209.94 million distributed over 31.7 Million Shares through 1025 transactions. Arabtec Holding Company came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 109.79 million distributed over 62.59 Million Shares through 961 transactions.
Al Khazna Insurance Co shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at 0.35 AED with 6.06% increase during the trading of 255.58 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 90.72 Thousand. Whereas Emaar Properties shares Increased by 5.80% to close at AED 6.75 during the trading of 31.7 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 209.94 million.
Mashreq Bank has achieved the lowest decline by -8.86% to close at AED 72.00 during the trading of 60.01 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 4.35 million. Followed by National General Insurance which dropped by -7.04% to close at AED 3.30 during the trading of 53.01 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 174.93 Thousand. Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 8.211%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 66.67 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 66 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 40 companies. As of 14-04-2016, the Fin/Investment sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 18.4377% to settle at 4225.61compared to 3567.79 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 17.8% to settle at 83.9460 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 17.5% to settle at 5690.33 points. Followed by the Telecommunication sector index with an increase of 17.0% to settle at 3750.62 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 12.5% to settle at 2159.61 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 4.87% to settle at 1456.94 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 0.46% to settle at 3348.33 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with an increase of 0.12% to settle at 2884.19 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -2.6% to settle at 1239.54 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -3.5% to settle at 937.761 points.
