Emirates Securities Market up by 1.18 percent

The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 1.18% to close at 4418.81 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 8.38 billion attaining AED 716.79 billion. A total of 0.88 billion Shares were traded with a total value of AED 1.28 billion during the trading session of 03-03-2016 through 12114 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 70 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 34 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 22 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 449.56 million distributed over 279.74 Million Shares through 3445 transactions. Amlak Finance Company came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 100.33 million distributed over 62.55 Million Shares through 1256 transactions.
Metha» shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 0.75 with 13.64% increase during the trading of 48.56 million Shares with a trade value of AED 35.14 Million. Whereas Arabtec Holding Company shares Increased by 8.00% to close at AED 1.62 during the trading of 279.74 million Shares with a trade value of AED 449.56 Million.
National General Insurance has achieved the lowest decline by -9.74% to close at AED 2.78 during the trading of 1300 shares with a trade value of AED 3614. Followed by AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company which dropped by -8.93% to close at AED 1.02 during the trading of 266.45 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 270.64 Thousand.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 3.247%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 36.53 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 46 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 48 companies. As of today the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 13.1402% to settle at 3625.37compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 6.16% to settle at 5139.09 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 3.62% to settle at 3696.95 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 1.18% to settle at 1941.45 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 0.75% to settle at 3358.00 points. Followed by the Services sector index with a decrease of -0.6% to settle at 1379.58 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with a decrease of -1.9% to settle at 69.8530 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -2.0% to settle at 2822.64 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -2.3% to settle at 949.357 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -5.5% to settle at 1201.89 points.
