Emirates Securities Market up by 1.06 percent

The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 1.06% to close at 4507.24 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 7.68 billion attaining AED 731.13 billion. A total of 0.77 Billion Shares were traded with a total value of AED 0.84 billion during the trading session of 04-04-2016 through 8238 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 59 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 44 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 10 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 146.48 million distributed over 86.69 Million Shares through 1068 transactions. Drake & Scull came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 117.21 million distributed over 227.54 Million Shares through 1321 transactions.
Abu Dhabi National Energy-TAQA shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 0.52 with 13.04% increase during the trading of 36.78 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 18.09 million. Whereas Arabtec Holding Company shares Increased by 8.70% to close at AED 1.75 during the trading of 86.69 million Shares with a trade value of AED 146.48 Million. RAK White Cement has achieved the lowest decline by -9.77% to close at AED 1.20 during the trading of 3213 Shares with a trade value of AED 3855.6. Followed by Oman & Emirates Investment Holding which dropped by -9.60% to close at AED 1.13 during the trading of 12.16 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 13.74 Thousand.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 5.314%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 57.74 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 58 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 47 companies. As of 04-04-2014 the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 15.8851% to settle at 3713.32compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 11.5% to settle at 5398.35 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 8.18% to settle at 3859.89 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 6.95% to settle at 76.1744 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 5.31% to settle at 2020.51 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 3.44% to settle at 1436.99 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with a decrease of -0.7% to settle at 3306.06 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -1.8% to settle at 2828.03 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -2.2% to settle at 1243.90 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -4.9% to settle at 923.956 points.
