The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 0.86% to close at 4393.75 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 6.06 billion attaining AED 712.72 billion. A total of 1.56 billion shares were traded with a total value of AED 2.19 billion during the trading session of 01-3-2016 through 17600 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 69 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 36 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 20 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 0.78 billion distributed over 494.36 million shares through 4548 transactions. Amlak Finance Company came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 340.07 million distributed over 202.91 million shares through 2743 transactions. Arabtec Holding Company shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 1.65 with 14.58% increase during the trading of 494.36 million shares with a trade value of AED 0.78 billion. Whereas Amlak Finance Company shares Increased by 9.43% to close at AED 1.74 during the trading of 202.91 million shares with a trade value of AED 340.07 Million.
Financial Advisors has achieved the lowest decline by -9.30% to close at 0.36 AED during the trading of 2.2 million shares with a trade value of AED 0.8 million. Followed by International Fish Farming Company which dropped by -8.68% to close at AED 6.00 during the trading of 21.9 thousand shares with a trade value of AED 131.75 thousand.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 2.662%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 32.44 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 51 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 44 companies.
As of 01-03-2016, the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 10.8281% to settle at 3551.28compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 7.72% to settle at 3843.27 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 6.96% to settle at 5177.84 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 1.65% to settle at 3387.76 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 0.96% to settle at 71.9056 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 0.64% to settle at 1931.04 points. Followed by the Services sector index with a decrease of -0.9% to settle at 1376.22 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -2.3% to settle at 949.586 points.
