The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by -0.37% to close at 4239.35 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has lost AED2.56 Billion attaining AED687.68 Billion. A total of 0.65 Billion Shares were traded with a total value of AED0.66 Billion during the trading session of 25-02-2016 through 7094 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 66 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 28 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 25 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Manazel Real Estate – PVT came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 75.76 Million distributed over 122.52 Million Shares through 613 transactions. Eshraq Properties came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 57.81 Million distributed over 79.28 Million Shares through 552 transactions.
Finance House shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 2.00 with 13.64% increase during the trading of 10000 Shares with a trade value of AED 20 Thousand. Whereas Aman Insurance shares Increased by 12.21% to close at AED 0.63 during the trading of 5.15 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 3.11 Million.
National General Insurance has achieved the lowest decline by -9.94% to close at AED 3.08 during the trading of 1300 Shares with a trade value of AED 4004. Followed by United Arab Bank which dropped by -9.82% to close at AED 3.49 during the trading of 6348 Shares with a trade value of AED 22.15 Thousand.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has a decrease by -0.94%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 27.49 Billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 39 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 55 companies.
As of today the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 5.1540% to settle at 3369.47compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 0.70% to settle at 4874.71 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with a decrease of -0.2% to settle at 1914.14 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with a decrease of -1.8% to settle at 3271.47 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with a decrease of -1.9% to settle at 69.8530 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -2.4% to settle at 948.117 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with a decrease of -3.2% to settle at 3451.57 points. Followed by the Services sector index with a decrease of -3.5% to settle at 1339.87 points. Followed by the «Banks» sector index with a decrease of -4.2% to settle at 2758.46 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -5.0% to settle at 1208.52 points.
