DUBAI / WAM

Employees of Emirates Post Group (EPG), are actively supporting Car Free Day, being observed on February 21, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.
The highlights of EPG’s participation included displaying special Car Free Day posters in all post offices and its head office in Umm Ramool, and employees are using public transport to promote environmental conservation.
As part of CSR activity, a group of volunteers from EPG head office are using Dubai Metro and Dubai Bus to reach their offices. They are carrying Car Free Day posters to highlight the need to reduce pollution by using public transport instead of individual cars. Chief Support Services Officer, Sami Al Khaja, said, “We are happy that EPG employees are whole-heartedly participating in the Car Free Day activity by using public transport to commute to work. We appreciate their participation. We hope this event will increase employees’ commitment to a greener environment by limiting the use of individual cars.”
Chief Commercial Officer, Ibrahim Bin Karam, said, “The Car Free Day initiative fits into our CSR program which is focused on highlighting activities beneficial to the community. EPG organises a number of such activities throughout the year.”
