The Adeli Medical Center is a one of its kind neurorehabilitation facility with its primary focus being on paediatric patients. This international center of excellence was established 12 years ago in Central Europe, in Piestany, a 90 minute drive from Vienna, in order to fulfilll the urgent need for intensive, professional and highly specialized rehabilitation for children with acquired and congenital neurologic disorders, such as cerebral palsy, brain injuries, spina bifida and many others.
Since it was established Adeli has been providing its unique program to handicapped children from most countries of the European Union – particularly Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, United Kingdom, Czechoslovakia, Russia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Libya and others.
The unique treatment programme fully reflects the mission of the Center: For every child

to achieve a visible improvement in the child’s condition and bring the child one or more steps closer to a normal independent life.
This implies an unconventional approach of investing up to 30 man hours per week per child patient, applying the most modern procedures, for example from space neurology or underwater medicine. Staff of more than 200 highly qualified specialists consisting mostly of neurologists, physicians, GPs, rehabilitologists, physiotherapists and speech pathologists, is organized into multidisciplinary teams to provide the best care. The center cares for only 150 patients at a time with facilities for inpatient stay and outpatient visits. The approach is acknowledged and supervised by world-renowned German and Austrian neurologists; its effectiveness has been scientifically proven and published.
The Center itself is a member of Research Group of World Federation for Neurorehabilitation.
