DC launches ‘Employees Happiness Meter’

Under the Motto, “We Care”, the Dubai Customs, DC, has launched its Employees’ Happiness Meter, a survey which will measure employees happiness at work.
Director of DC, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, inaugurated the new scheme in a ceremony attended by senior officials and members of staff at DC Head Office in Port Rashid at a ceremony attended by senior officials and members of staff.
The newly launched initiative confirms Dubai Customs commitment to enhancing employee happiness, in pursuance of the globally inspiring words of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, when he said, “Happiness in our nation is not a wish … but there will be plans, projects and programmes and indicators … and it will be part of the work of all our ministries … and a part of our way of life.”
Ahmed Obeid Al Falasi, Executive Director of Human Resources, Finance and Administration Division, and Lubna Al Muhairi, HR Director, briefed Musabih on the initiative. “The new scheme will kick off with a pilot monthly survey, which will later function on a daily basis, being sent to employees’ mobile phones in order to measure their levels of happiness at work,” said Al Muhairi.
