Maryne Cotty-Eslous: Intelligence in Motion

DUBAI / GULF TIME

Far from conventional paths, Maryne Cotty-Eslous embodies a new generation of innovators. At the crossroads of neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship, she builds a world where technology meets human complexity. Winner of the prestigious Innovation Trophy, founder of ADI Prime, NEUROCARE and NEURO TUTOR, she is a major figure in both the entrepreneurial and scientific spheres. An encounter with a woman for whom innovation means understanding and anticipating the world of tomorrow.

Movement as a Life Principle
Nothing is static. For Maryne Cotty-Eslous, everything is in motion. “Is it a question of resilience, or a question of movement?” she asks. “We are beings of movement. Our cells, our universe, our civilization—everything evolves constantly. If we stop moving, we wither away.”
This philosophy is the thread of her journey. At 16, a severe accident turned into a driving force for creation. “Every challenge, every difficulty is an invitation to explore a new path, to create something that does not yet exist.”

Breaking Silos: A Transdisciplinary Vision
With a background in neuroscience, anthropology, and artificial intelligence, Maryne Cotty-Eslous never confines herself to a single discipline. “I like to tell two stories: that of Pasteur and that of DNA discovery.” Pasteur, initially seen as a madman, had to convince a skeptical scientific world before gaining recognition. Similarly, the discovery of DNA’s structure was only possible through the convergence of biology, physics, and chemistry. “Innovation never emerges in isolation. It thrives at the intersections, where disciplines meet and interact.”
In digital health, this approach is crucial. “Neuroscience, anthropology, and AI must work together. Only by understanding humanity in all its complexity can we create truly impactful solutions.”

Entrepreneurship: A Natural Drive
At the helm of several high-impact companies, she defines entrepreneurship as an inherent nature. “I knew it was my path the day I failed for the first time and my only desire was to try again.”
She applies this determination to her advocacy for neurodiversity. “Many of the greatest innovators are neuroatypical. Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs—their different ways of thinking have changed the world. Embracing neurodiversity is not just about inclusion; it is a strategic necessity.”
But are businesses ready? “Today, 15 to 20% of the world’s population is neuroatypical. The real question is: can companies identify these profiles and harness their potential? It is not just about inclusion—it is about strategy. Understanding these talents means increasing creativity and performance.”

AI: A New Industrial Revolution
Artificial intelligence, she believes, is the industrial revolution of the 21st century. “From agriculture to writing, from the steam engine to the digital age, each revolution has transformed the way we live. AI follows this trajectory. It is still in its infancy, but with the rise of quantum computing, its potential will become exponential.”
In healthcare and biotechnology, transformations will be profound. Her company is developing AI capable of identifying and analyzing chronic pain through facial, vocal, and postural recognition. “But this requires massive, high-quality databases—a financial and technological challenge of enormous scale.”

Dubai: A Global Innovation Hub
Why Dubai? “It is a privilege to operate in a country that places innovation at the core of its vision.” A choice that has been reinforced by the strategic agreement between France and the UAE, committing €50 billion to AI development. “AI is the new geopolitical battleground, just as nuclear power was after World War II or the space race during the Cold War.”
This agreement extends beyond technology. “It also lays the foundation for discussions on AI ethics and regulation. Who will control its use? What environmental framework should be adopted? These are decisions that will shape the next century.”

A Human Legacy Above All
Asked what advice she would give to young entrepreneurs, her response is simple: “Act. Don’t spend years perfecting an idea in the shadows. Innovation belongs to those who dare.”
And her legacy? “If, through my research and companies, I have helped even one person, improved someone’s quality of life, then I have accomplished my mission.”
Maryne Cotty-Eslous represents this new era where artificial intelligence does not replace humanity but enhances its complexity and richness. Her movement has only just begun.
