WETEX 2017 showcases business prospects, trends in energy sector

ENOC to power future service stations with solar energy

The Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2017) was opened
on Monday by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
Themed ‘At the Forefront of Sustainability,’ WETEX is organised by DEWA on October 23–25 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. It showcases the latest developments in conventional and renewable energy around the world, and feature business opportunities and potential partnerships to drive business.
Sheikh Hamdan was shown around a number of pavilions, including that of ENOC Group where he was briefed on the latest innovations made by the company in areas of resource utilisation, management and energy efficiency.
Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of ENOC Group, said that WETEX provides an interactive platform helping participants
keep abreast of the latest technologies in areas of water, energy saving and environmental protection.
“ENOC Group will provide a set of energy solutions during the event based on best international practices in areas of energy and resource management with the ultimate objective of providing a more sustainable world for generations to come,” Al Falasi added.
MASDAR DISPLAYS CLEAN ENERGY PROJECTS
Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, Masdar, has
announced details of its participation in the 19th annual Water, Energy, Technology
and Environment Exhibition (WETEX). As a continuing Strategic Sponsor of the three-day event, Masdar will showcase its growing clean energy portfolio in the UAE and worldwide, including innovative
projects in water desalination and waste-to-energy production. It will also address conference delegates on critical iss-ues such as clean-tech innovation, renewable energy desalination options for the UAE, opportunities and challenges for the development of smart cities, and the next stage
of urban evolution.
Commenting on Masadr’s participation at WETEX, Bader Al Lamki, Executive Director, Clean Energy, Masdar, said, “Our global energy systems
are witnessing a period of tremendous change, with the adoption of renewable energy and clean technologies continuing to accelerate.”
