WDS 2024 sees strong presence of Emirati firms

In its participation at the 2nd edition of the World Defence Show 2024 (WDS), one of the most prominent and specialised exhibitions in the defence sector that commenced in Riyadh, the UAE National Pavilion is making a strong presence through a large platform of UAE-made products and services.
This year’s edition, themed “Equipped For Tomorrow”, boasts the participation of 45 countries and over 700 specialised companies in the defence, security, and aerospace sectors. Anas Naser Al Otaiba, General Manager, EDCC, affirmed the significant presence of over 20 participating Emirati companies across various sectors of defence and security industries, showcasing their manufactured products that are made in the UAE.
“Through the UAE National Pavilion, we are focused on enriching the array of products and solutions presented by Emirati companies. We place a particular emphasis on cutting-edge systems tailored to serve the sophisticated needs of various sectors within the defence industries.” he added.

Additionally, it presents its solutions in technological development for defence and security sector, along with electronic warfare.
Calidus presents its leading products in the aviation and ground systems sectors, ranging from high-performance aircraft to versatile armoured vehicles, exemplified by the B-250 Light-Attack Aircraft, the 8×8 multi-role armoured vehicle (Wahash), and the 4×4 armoured vehicle (MCAV). Its distinguished capabilities in engineering and manufacturing, along with advanced solutions that meet the needs of military and security institutions globally.
Visitors to the UAE Pavilion were briefed on the latest satellite communication solutions utilising advanced technology through Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), a leading satellite internet broadband provider across the Middle East, Africa, and South West Asia, as well as Australia and Europe.
The company offers a diverse range of satellite communication solutions for military and government sectors via Yahsat and Thuraya, including services for aircraft, personnel, maritime platforms, and vehicles. T-TAC systems, converting field radio waves into satellite communications, drew significant interest, facilitating effective troop communication across different fields and operational centres, garnered significant interest from exhibition visitors.
The National Factory for Security and Safety Products (NFSSP) offers a wide range of products catering to diverse needs across various fields, including defence, security, industrial, and construction, as well as the oil and gas fields both onshore and offshore, engineering, and marine sector. These products are manufactured with meticulous planning and adherence to approved safety standards while maintaining quality throughout the manufacturing stages.
In the maritime sector, Al Seer Marine offers a range of marine equipment and supply services designed to meet the needs of vessels. This is accomplished through a team of experts in a diverse array of services, ensuring the highest levels of professionalism and incorporating the latest technologies into their work.
