VP reviews AED8bn One Central project

Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was briefed on the engineering designs and the general plan of the One Central mixed use project, which is being implemented by the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority (DTCA) in the Central Business District in Dubai at a cost of AED8 billion.
HH Sheikh Mohammed visited the headquarters of the Dubai World Trade Centre, where huge models for the promising project and engineering designs were displayed. HH Sheikh Mohammed expressed his satisfaction and support for its implementation and completion in successive stages according to the plans drawn up for it.
During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality.
Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of the project, which, after completion, will be a magnet factor for traders, businessmen and international companies that are looking for a foothold in the region through their permanent presence in the UAE in general and Dubai in particular as they are looking forward to achieving elements of success and the development of their business and their continuity under the umbrella of a safe investment and a fertile environment protected by laws and regulations and operating procedures internationally.
Sheikh Mohammed said, “We in the UAE, leadership and government, sow hope where there is despair and pain, and plant happiness and joy where there is sadness, and plant
love and coexistence where there is hatred.”
Sheikh Mohammed was briefed by Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai World trade Centre Authority, who explained that the One Central Project, which is being built on land area estimated at more than half a million square meters in the vicinity of Dubai World Trade Centre, includes buildings, residential, hospitality and commercial towers.
