American luxury fashion company Coach has joined forces with eclectic Parisian retailer Colette for a multifaceted partnership that will soon see the duo launch a kid’s capsule collection.
The Coach 1941 x colette collection — a collaborative effort between Coach creative director Stuart Vevers and Colette cofounder Sarah Andelman — will launch at the Colette concept store in Paris on Rue Saint-Honoré.
Come October 25, Colette will travel to the US to take over Coach’s SoHo concept store for one week, as part of the tie-up — transforming the store with the Parisian retailer’s distinctive aesthetic, with the Coach capsule to be sold there also, in addition to signature Colette-type ephemera.
The collection, which prominently features Coach’s cartoon insignia, Rexy the dinosaur, will comprise eight ready-to-wear pieces, including a varsity jacket, sweaters, pants, a dress and a sweatshirt, with prices ranging from US$95-US$200, excluding a special-edition Rexy handbag with a price tag of US$450.
The SoHo boutique will also stock more than 30 Colette-chosen items, including toys, temporary tattoos, bubbles and art supplies, which will sell from US$2 for a pencil to US$200 for a Fuji Instax camera (via WWD). To mark the opening of the New York pop-up store, Colette and Coach are also set to host a Halloween event.
