UAE, Kosovo discuss ‘new phase’ of economic, trade cooperation

Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy, discussed ways to establish a new phase of economic and trade cooperation based on further exchange of investments and the development of partnerships in sectors of mutual interest with Kadri Veseli, President of the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo.
The talks were held at the ministry’s headquarters in Dubai in the presence of Mohammed Ahmed Al Shehhi, Under-Secretary for Economic Affairs, and Humaid Al Muhairi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Commercial Affairs and Consumer Protection. The Kosovo side was represented by Dr Rajab Buya, Non-Resident Ambassador of Kosovo to the UAE, and representatives from various government entities.
The group exchanged views on current economic developments between their sides and emphasised the importance of their historic relations. They agreed on the need to strengthen their economic and trade relations and pursue current opportunities and possibilities to serve their respective development goals.
Al Mansoori said that the two countries are linked by historic bilateral relations characterised by brotherhood and cooperation at all levels. He pointed out that the next stage requires enhanced channels of communication at the government and private levels to better explore areas of investment and cooperation and establish partnerships that benefit from the extensive investment capabilities of both parties. The minister added that the agricultural and food sectors are priorities under UAE’s overseas investment agenda, and are expected to drive a new phase of cooperation between their countries in light of Kosovo’s capabilities in these industries.
Veseli expressed his country’s desire to enhance cooperation with UAE and establish economic and investment partnerships
in various fields, particularly
agriculture, mining, and water
management and treatment.
