Spotlight on Arab fashion at Bride Show

To bring a dream wedding come to life, even the minutest of details and elements must be addressed to with utmost care. And for brides, since it is the ‘bridal dress’ which contributes to making the day perfect, it assumes the biggest importance.
Bride Show Abu Dhabi 2016, held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, was a dynamic interactive female-focused consumer event. Suzy Pallett, Director at Informa Middle East and main organiser of the show, said, “This year the event has been exceptionally well, considering the quality of stands and brands that have participated at the event. We have tried to collaborate all the essentials that are a bride’s desires to be there on her special day.”
From Abayas, Kaftans, Sheilas and Jalabiyas, this year’s Arabic Fashion Zone has been the major highlight of the event. Bride Show 2016 has laid more importance on the brides-to-be and budding fashionistas of the Middle East. It has been a culmination of the best local and regional exhibitors from Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Turkey to showcase their stylish and exclusive fashion
collections.
“This is a destination for fun, fashion, retail and lots of glamour. We also have a pop up couture here where we have a collection of top 9 designers of the region which include Essa, Abeer Al Suwaidi and Jacy Kay, making it more accessible to the consumers,” added Suzy.
Safika Al Ameri, Director of Abu Dhabi Business Women Council, said, “This year’s Bride Show has seen a truly remarkable advance in terms of offerings, consumers, features, exhibitors, status in the region and overall precedent for female consumer shows in the Middle East. The Arabic Zone is a real highlight for us specifically in terms of showcasing where the fashion industry is now at in this region, we are proud to be a part of the ever increasing regional creative hub, in line with global
talent.”
The show also showcases a special VIP section where the consumers could unwind. “We also have VIP lounge where the consumers can go relax and pamper themselves. We have also introduced a makeup lounge where they can have a free makeover,” said Suzy.
The Bride Show has also introduced the Arabic fashion awards this year, where the show would be celebrating Arabic fashion domain. All the aspiring fashion designer from students, entrepreneurs, domestic goddesses and professionals, can participate in the contest. “We have shortlisted 14 entries and we have showcased their work on site, where they would be judged over the weekend by the public and our selected judges and the winner would be announced on Saturday,” pointed out Suzy.
