Second Smart Home Show wraps-up on a high note copy

Smart Home Show, a unique event dedicated to promoting energy conservation in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, brought the curtains down on a highly successful second edition at Al Ain Convention Centre that drew thousands of visitors across a four-day run.
Organized by Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC), the event received high interest from various segments of society and convened the participation of 30 prominent government departments and specialized companies – including the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Emirates Driving Company, Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority and Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA).
Highlighting the importance of energy efficiency for residents of the Garden City, the show comprised various activities and events including workshops conducted by Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC) that served as a key attraction of
the event. The sessions focused on five main themes such as
renewable energy, robotics, electricity and e-learning, three-dimensional graphics and an interactive session.
His Excellency Dr Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy, said: “Our participation in the second edition of the Smart Home Show articulates the Ministry of Energy’s continued efforts to promote rational energy use and prevent the wastage of resources. The Ministry of Energy, in collaboration with the education sector and other stakeholders, supports national initiatives and programs to promote efficient energy use – including the nation-wide project to ensure energy efficiency in government buildings, schools and hospitals, the GCC-wide rationalization campaign, as well as the field visits carried out by the ministry to schools to engage with the new generation.” Al Neyadi hailed Smart Home Show as an innovative platform to showcase the latest energy-efficient home appliances and noted that the show supports the Ministry’s strategic objectives of promoting conservation in energy consumption towards achieving sustainable development.
Abdullah Ali Al Sheryani, Acting Managing Director of Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC), said: “We are proud of the great success achieved by the second Smart Home Show which attracted thousands of visitors to the Al Ain Convention Centre. Smart Home Show has now
established itself as the definitive industry platform to showcase the latest eco-friendly household technology and energy-saving
solutions.”
