Sharjah to host conference on Islamic economy

Under the patronage and in presence of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, the Sharjah Islamic Center for Economy and Finance Studies will hold the 2nd Sharjah International Conference on Islamic Economy titled ‘The Friendly Environment for Islamic Banking and Finance Institutions’ from October 4-5 at Al Zahra Hall, University of Sharjah.
The conference will shed the light on human resources working at Islamic banks, economists and students specialized in Islamic economy and finance. It will also host leading experts and scientists from various parts of the world as head speakers on its sessions. The sessions will address the friendly local and international environment of Islamic finance institutions; examine means of providing the same, and achieving their sustainability and performance upgrade.
The conference will also assess the Islamic banking products based on jurisprudence, legal and economic views, to achieve the economic development sought by these institutions on the local, regional and international levels.
Researchers will also submit their work papers to participate in the scientific sessions that were divided according to jurisprudence, legal, economic and social subjects and axes of the conference, in order to demonstrate key requirements to design and engineer the friendly environment of Islamic finance institutions and means of developing it.
