‘Fighting new terrorist threats’, ‘developing safer communities’, ‘improving crisis management efficiency’ —these futuristic themes will take the center-stage at one of the world’s largest exhibitions on national security, set to take place in the Emirates’ capital. Security agencies, nearly 30 local SMEs and other exhibitors from around the globe will gather at the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR) from March 15-17.
The 2016 edition — the seventh one — is being held at a total net space 20,000 square-meter. Over 500 exhibitors, from nearly 45 countries, will join the event, which will have a special focus on simulation demonstrations on emergency preparedness and disaster prevention. One of the prime attractions of ISNR would be the Emergency Response and Disaster Prevention (EMDI) exhibition, the first dedicated event in the Gulf for emergency response and disaster prevention across land, sea and air.
“In future, emergency response services will need to communicate more effectively with citizens and other service providers, deliver real-time situational awareness of incidents and provide better predictive risk analysis, to help prevent incidents and mitigate their damage,” said Nicky Dawson, Group Exhibition Director of ISNR Abu Dhabi.
“EMDI is a must-attend event for anybody working in this vital field, as it will allow them to keep abreast of the latest regional and international trends, and help to develop knowledge and understanding in the industry,” added Dawson.
Organisers are expecting over 20,000 visitors from more than 90 countries to join 2016 edition. Besides, there would be around 3,000 meetings between buyers and exhibitors.
A dedicated gallery and live demo area ‘Future of Policing Pavilion’ would be set-up. It will feature new products and videos for the future police forces’ operations related to ‘connected police officer’ ‘crowd control’ and ‘law enforcement’. Also there would be launch of new products, covering new generation of non-lethal technologies for crowd control, geo-tracking solutions, connected sensors and ballistic protection.ISNR would be held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in the capital city.

2016: ISNR’s biggest year
2016 will be the largest and most comprehensive ISNR yet, featuring two launch events: Infosecurity Middle East (InfosecME) and Emergency Response and Disaster Prevention (EmDi), and two co-located events: Firefighting Middle East (FFME) and Occupational Safety and Health Middle East (OSHME).

Partners in resilience
Working in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Interior, ISNR brings together local, regional and international experts in security and disaster prevention, management and recovery. Exploring the latest innovations, technologies and solutions in crisis management, border and transport security, intelligence and threat assessment, cyber security, emergency response, critical infrastructure and counterterrorism, ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016 is the year’s must-attend security event.
