Health, teamwork, persistence and overcoming hurdles encompass the enthralling and exhilarating tenets of the Active Zone in the upcoming Mother of the Nation festival, which marks reverence to all mothers
and their focus on developing healthy families and encouraging teamwork.
Organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority and being held along the Abu Dhabi Corniche Beach from March 24 to April 2, the Mother of the Nation Festival will highlight the vision and far-reaching contributions of HH Sheikha
Fatima bint Mubarak and the importance of family coherence and cultural understanding amongst
the UAE society.
With over 19 attractions, 15 workshops and 420 shows featuring the most impressive line-up of sport performances in the country, the Active Zone will highlight the importance that healthy bodies and minds add to achieve common goals throughout the festival period. Activities, staged in dedicated activity areas, cater to visitors of all ages, abilities and engagement levels.
Attendees will be able to participate in action-packed events and engage in extreme sports performances, partake in featured games, or simply take time out to enjoy a range of relaxing activities with friends and family on the scenic shores of the Corniche.

ACTIVITY CABANAS
Activity hubs—transformed beach huts—offer festivalgoers an exciting opportunity to engross themselves in different sports and skills. Guests can experience the thrill of archery, Batak—a game designed to test reaction timing, a football shootout with a points system for achieved targets, dune bashing RC cars in a designated sand pit and watch talented performers demonstrate complex, extreme yoyo tricks, or join the act and attempt the skill themselves.

BEACH LOUNGE
This area offers visitors a social and relaxing environment filled with a series of casual games along the waterfront. A mini-golf course lined up on Corniche’s garden space designed to challenge guests with tunnels, tubes and ramps, , uniquely shaped foosball and pool tables aimed at boggling minds and challenging even the seasoned players, as well as a three-dimensional table tennis activity that adds a twist to the concept of the game, will be offered for everyone take part in.

MOVEMENT INSTALLATIONS
Designed to take the imagination to new heights, this mixture of interactive installations uses motions to engage the senses in exhilarating experiences. Whether it’s immersing in a spectacular, luminous world in the Architects of Air, a monumental inflatable structure that has wowed over 3 million visitors across five continents, or entering the Pools of Light, a playful area where multiple interactive illuminated circular pads generate concentric swirling effects of light and colour—visitors are welcomed to mesmerising interactions throughout this area.

URBAN SPACE
A spectacle of Parkour performers and extreme stunts aimed at exciting on-lookers and providing tips-and-tricks, this area celebrates the array of skills in urban sports. Festivalgoers have the opportunity to build their confidence and gain a sense of achievement at the Challenge Tower, a free-fall jump from a 12m high launch pad into a specially designed inflatable base.
This area also invites participants to an adrenaline-charged 35m long zip-line, a test of balance and perseverance on a slack line, and a climbing wall filled with trials of varying levels, all of which are accompanied by a DJ and
MC set playing the latest beats from a giant “boom box” sound
system large enough to cover the entire zone.
