Proclad’s new UAE line to generate 1,500 metric tonnes of alloy

Proclad, the world’s leader in manufacturing of Corrosion Resistant Alloy (CRA), clad pipes, pipelines, fittings, flanges and piping/pipeline spools, has announced the launch of its third production line.
Yaseen M. Jaffer, Proclad Group Chief Executive Officer, said, “We at Proclad are still going strong, even with the tumbling oil prices, we are prepared for any new project.
We believe that with the high end technology that we have, the research and development and the training that Proclad offers through its academy are major factors in our success thus making Proclad a market leader”.
He added, “Thanks to the guidance of our rulers, we haven’t slowed down in the UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar & Saudi Arabia. A total of AED200 million was invested in the expansion that now has elevated us beyond our competition.”
In 1970, Proclad started its operations in Scotland, UK; and then started its manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi in 1996. In 2010, Proclad further expanded to a 50,000 square meters state-of-the-art facility in Dubai’s Technopark. Today Proclad has firmly established itself as the leading suppliers of integrated solutions to the global oil, gas and energy markets with manufacturing facilities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, UK and Singapore.
Proclad, the only cladding company located in the UAE, is producing and exporting products to the global market. This new production phase will further assert Proclad as the only site in the world that can supply to national and international oil/gas operating companies such as ADNOC Opco’s, PDO, KOC, Saudi Aramco, BP, Shell, ExxonMobil and Chevron.
A further investment is underway now to establish a new product line in pipe bending, heat treatment and deep bore machining. This will become operational in the second quarter of 2016. —EB
