Prez of Costa Rica, Abdullah discuss ties

President of Costa Rica Luis Guillermo Solis, received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The two sides discussed cooperation and ways to enhance it in the best interest of the two countries.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on important regional and international issues as well as topics of mutual concern. They also tackled the joint political, cultural and economic relations and ways to boost ties including exchange of visits, expertise and bolstering economic cooperation in various domains.
Solis expressed his happiness at Sheikh Abdullah’s visit to Costa Rica, indicating that it reflects the joint keenness of the two countries’ leaderships to exchange visits, meetings and continue bilateral relations for the benefit of the two friendly peoples and countries. He also wished that the visit would result in further cooperation in all fields.
The Costa Rican president also confirmed his country’s desire to develop bilateral relations with the UAE to serve the two countries’ interests, lauding its cultural boom in all fields.
On his part, Sheikh Abdullah emphasised the UAE’s keenness on supporting bilateral relations and increase investments with Costa Rica to the advantage of the two countries’ interests.
He also expressed his aspiration and ambition to further boost cooperation in all domains and continue enhancing ties and exchange of visits with Costa Rica for the best interest of the two countries and peoples.
On the sidelines of the meeting, President of Costa Rica and Sheikh Abdullah also held a press conference. Meanwhile, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Costa Rica Manuel Gonzalez Sanz.
