Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has offered his condolences on the death of the UAE serviceman, First Lieutenant Mohammad Obaid Al Hammoudi, martyred in Yemen while carrying out his national duties as part of
Operation Restoring Hope.
Sheikh Mohammed, accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, visited the mourning majlis in Dibba Al Hisn, Sharjah.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his deep condolences and sincere sympathies to the family of the martyrs, praying to Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the martyr in peace, and grant to his family, and bestow and solace on them to bear the loss.
In a related context, Sheikh Mohammed also offered his condolences to the family of pilot Zayed Al Kaabi. The serviceman fell in Yemen while carrying out his national duty as part of Arab coalition’s ‘Operation Restoring Hope’, led by Saudi Arabia to back Yemen’s legitimate government.
During his visit to the mourning Majlis in the Murbah district of Fujairah, Sheikh Mohammed expressed his deep condolences and sincere sympathies to the family of the martyr, praying to Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the martyr in peace, and bestow solace on his family to bear the loss.
While speaking with the families of the two martyrs, Sheikh Mohammed said, “Our beloved country, its leadership and people will always be a symbol of peace, justice and co-existence despite the regional and international challenges.†He also highlighted the courage and sacrifices of the UAE Armed Forces as well as their loyalty to the dear homeland.
