Mohammed Al Sharqi attends Arabian horse championship in Fujairah

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, has emphasised the importance of horses in the Arab-Islamic heritage, and the
significance of promoting the UAE’s traditional sports and popular heritage and spreading it globally. The Crown Prince of Fujairah made the remarks while attending the conclusion of the 8th edition of the Fujairah International Arabian Horse Championship, which was held under his patronage at the Fujairah Fort.
Organised over three days from December 14-16, the championship featured elite Arabian horse breeds and their owners, breeders, and stables from around the UAE and abroad.
Several Sheikhs and officials attended the event.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the support and directives of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, for the sports tournaments organised by Fujairah, based on its pivotal role in strengthening the sports sector in general, and horse and equestrian sports in particular, and supporting the country’s directions in this regard.
He also praised the tournament’s high level of organisation and the efforts made by partners, sponsors and judging committees in making this edition a success and achieving its goals at the regional and international levels. He honoured the winners of the competitions, sponsors, and judging committees.
