Mohamed orders 2,048 houses, 4,495 plots for citizens in Abu Dhabi

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday ordered 2,048 houses and 4,495 for citizens in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, following directives from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
These include 1,463 housing units in Abu Dhabi City, 236 units in Al Ain and 349 in the Western Region.
The plots include 2,432 plots in Abu Dhabi City, 1713 in Al Ain, and 350 in the Western Region.
The municipalities will begin the handing over of housing units and plots in a few days.
The houses are in residential compounds with full community services and high-quality infrastructure to ensure the highest standards of safety and comfort for residents.
The initiative builds on the wise leadership’s vision established by the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and continued by President His
Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as part of the overall progress and development taking place in the UAE.
Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority praised HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region; HH Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region; HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, for enabling the authority to provide all it takes to give a dignified life for citizens and mobilise all capabilities to continue overall development in the country.
The houses were designed to achieve an Estidama sustainability rating of two pearls, preserve environmental sustainability, reduce water and electricity consumption, provide the highest levels of safety and comfort of occupants while protecting their privacy, he noted.
