Mohamed arrives in Riyadh for key GCC summit

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, arrived in Riyadh to participate in Wednesday’s summit between GCC leaders and Morocco, with the attendance of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, and the GCC leaders and President Barack Obama of the United States summit on Thursday.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was received at King Salman Air Force Base Airport by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
He was also received by Saudi Crown Prince and Deputy Premier and Interior Minister, Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier, and Minister of Defence, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region, along with a number of senior officials.
During a brief session, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed exchanged cordial greetings with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and discussed brotherly and strategic relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of enhancing them to serve the common interests.
Sheikh Mohamed conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to his brother, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, wishing the Saudi people continuous progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, the Saudi King asked Sheikh Mohamed to also convey his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa, wishing the UAE more prosperity, progress and development.
The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince is accompanied by a delegation which includes HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, EAA, Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the US, Mohammed Saeed Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince’s Court of Abu Dhabi.
