Int’l experts praise Sharjah Ruler’s efforts to preserve country’s heritage

The First International Conference of Al Qasimia University (AQU) in Sharjah, called for setting up of a research centre for history, heritage and identity.
The participants recommended that the second international conference of AQU will be entitled: “Arab and Islamic Manuscript and its Impact on Making Islamic Civilisation.”
Researchers participating at the First International Conference of Al Qasimia University (AQU) in Sharjah, extended at the conclusion of the conference, their appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and President of AQU, for sponsoring and attending the conference.
They reiterated their appreciation for the Ruler of Sharjah’s interest in science, cultural heritage, history and care for the manuscripts, being an integral part of the heritage of the nation and its present.
The participants also thanked Dr. Rashad Salem, Vice Chancellor of AQU, on his the support to the scientific and the organisational committees of the conference, which had the greatest impact in the completion and success of the conference.
The researchers recommended, at the conclusion of the conference, themed: “Our Identity in our History and our Heritage Memory,” setting up of the research centre for history, heritage and identity, with a view to preserve the cultural heritage.
In a statement read out by Dr. Abdul-Karim Mudawin, of the Kingdom of Morocco, they recommended that the second international conference of AQU will be entitled: “Arab and Islamic Manuscript and its Impact on Making Islamic Civilisation.”
The conference was attended by a number of scientists and researchers from 11 countries including, the UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Palestine, France and Portugal.
