The Government of Fujairah is committed to opening new prospects for investment in mineral resources, according to HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, during the Fifth Fujairah International Forum for Industrial Rocks & Mining on Tuesday.
He stressed the need for introducing flexible legislations that support efforts to conserve and protect the environment. ‘‘Mineral resources should be harnessed to serve sustainable develo- pment in the UAE,’’ he added. More than 25 local and international companies are participating in the technology exhibition, which displays products of mining companies, mineral wealth companies, manufacturers of equipment and types of machinery used in all stages of mining activities, as well as related extraction and transformational industries.
