Emirates to participate in int’l labour conference

A high-level UAE delegation, headed by Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, will participate in the 105th session of the International Labour Conference, which will be held from May 30 to June 10 in Geneva, under the banner, “Building a future with decent work”.
The UAE delegation include will include Mubarak Al Dhahiri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Humaid bin Dimas Al Suwaidi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Labour Affairs and Dr. Omar Al Nuaimi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Policy and Strategy, along with a number of senior officials in the ministry.
The event will see the participation of government, employers’ and workers’ representatives from 187 member states, who will discuss a series of work issues including global supply chains, decent work for peace, security and disaster resilience.
, as well as the impact of the ILO Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalisation.
The delegates will also consider amendments to the Code of the Maritime Labour Convention and review the report of the Director-General on poverty.
