The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 0.04% to close at 4492.97 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 308.96 million attaining AED 728.82 billion. A total of 0.79 Billion Shares were traded with a total value of AED 1.19 billion during the trading session of 14-03-2016 through 10559 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 63 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 16 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 36 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Emirates Telecommunication Group came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 171.24 million distributed over 9.54 Million Shares through 434 transactions. Arabtec Holding Company came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 150.52 million distributed over 91.38 Million Shares through 1283 transactions.
AL Dar Properties shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 2.65 with 3.92% increase during the trading of 21.99 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 57.49 million. Whereas Emirates Telecommunication Group shares Increased by 3.11% to close at AED 18.25 during the trading of 9.54 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 171.24 Million. International Fish Farming Company has achieved the lowest decline by -10.00% to close at AED 7.20 during the trading of 24.91 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 179.38 Thousand. Followed by Abu Dhabi National Building – BILDCO which dropped by -6.52% to close at AED 0.43 during the trading of 5000 Shares with a trade value of AED 2150.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 4.980%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 46.06 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 60 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 45 companies. As of today the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 14.3867% to settle at 3665.31compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 9.11% to settle at 3892.89 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 8.78% to settle at 5266.17 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 7.07% to settle at 2054.34 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 3.40% to settle at 1436.45 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 1.66% to settle at 3388.17 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 1.19% to settle at 72.0691 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -0.7% to settle at 964.515 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -0.9% to settle at 2853.51 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -4.4% to settle at 1216.23 points.
