The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by -0.16% to close at 4204.17 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has lost AED1.06 Billion attaining AED681.97 Billion. A total of 0.69 Billion Shares were traded with a total value of 0.69 Billion AED during the trading session of 21-02-2016 through 7201 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 66 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 32 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 24 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED109.36 Million distributed over 97.1 Million Shares through 1412 transactions. Gulf Finance House came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED69.66 Million distributed over 110.94 Million Shares through 873 transactions.
Takaful Emarat shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED1.95 with 12.07% increase during the trading of 10.42 Million Shares with a trade value of AED19.28 Million. Whereas International Fish Farming Company shares Increased by 10.79% to close at AED7.70 during the trading of 1001 Shares with a trade value of AED7707.7.
Abu Dhabi National Insurance has achieved the lowest decline by -10.00% to close at AED2.07 during the trading of 22 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED45.74 Thousand. Followed by Abu Dhabi National Energy-TAQA which dropped by -4.65% to close at AED0.41 during the trading of 0.53 Million Shares with a trade value of AED222.05 Thousand.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has a decrease by -1.76%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED23.44 Billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 32 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 61 companies.
As of today the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 2.9402% to settle at 3298.53compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Real estate sector index with a decrease of -0.7% to settle at 4805.94 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with a decrease of -1.9% to settle at 1881.82 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -3.4% to settle at 1228.66 points. Followed by the Services sector index with a decrease of -3.6% to settle at 1339.12 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -3.7% to settle at 2773.11 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -4.1% to settle at 931.801 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with a decrease of -4.4% to settle at 3185.63 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with a decrease of -7.3% to settle at 3306.22 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with a decrease of -7.9% to settle at 65.5843 points.
