The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by -0.46% to close at 4430.61 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has lost AED 3.3 billion attaining AED 720.89 billion. A total of 446.83 million Shares were traded with a total value of AED 0.58 billion during the trading session of 11-05-2016 through 6172 transactions. The number of companies which has been traded is 67 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 35 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 26 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 117.79 million distributed over 77.3 million Shares through 963 transactions. Amlak Finance Company came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 44.79 million distributed over 29.87 million Shares through 495 transactions.
Mashreq Bank shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 77.00 with 14.84% increase during the trading of 66.34 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 4.89 million. Whereas International Fish Farming Company shares Increased by 14.47% to close at AED 1.74 during the trading of 1.16 million Shares with a trade value of AED 2.03 million.
Abu Dhabi Ships Building has achieved the lowest decline by -10.00% to close at AED 2.61 during the trading of 12.05 thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 34.63 thousand. Followed by AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company which dropped by -9.30% to close at AED 0.78 during the trading of 53.39 thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 41.64 thousand.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 3.523%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 79.48 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 59 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 48 companies.
As of 11-05-2016, the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 14.8625% to settle at 3680.56compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 11.8% to settle at 79.6772 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 8.03% to settle at 5229.73 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 6.96% to settle at 1485.96 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 4.20% to settle at 1999.28 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 3.24% to settle at 3683.48 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 0.47% to settle at 3348.64 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -3.7% to settle at 2773.33 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -4.1% to settle at 932.169 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -4.3% to settle at 1217.90 points.
