Located in the Zuidas area of Holland’s most vibrant city, the new hotel offers guests natural light, healthy, sustainable meal options and even complementary bicycles.
Aimed at what Element brand owner Starwood Hotels describes as the “eco-minded” traveller, each of the building’s 160 studios and suites have their own kitchen and flexible living spaces so that they appeal to those spending a week or a weekend in the city.
As well as two restaurants, the hotel has a pantry full of sustainable ingredients for guests to use in order to cook for themselves. There are complimentary wine evenings, free wi-fi throughout the premises and the gym is always open. It is also the first hotel in the city to do away with keys, enabling guests to open and close doors via a smartphone or smartwatch.
“Element Amsterdam offers a fresh new option for travelers who want a bright, energizing environment, great design and everything they need for smart, sustainable living,” said Michael Wale, President, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa & Middle East.
