Dubai Trade, the single window for cross-border trade and a DP World company, celebrated the graduation of more than 270 trainees in its certified training programmes.
The Certified Trade & Logistics Professional (CTLP) programme available in English and Arabic is offered to professionals working in different sectors in the trade and supply chain such as import, export and logistics.
The ceremony was attended by Eng. Mahmood Al Bastaki, CEO of Dubai Trade; graduates with their families; and Chaminda Gunasekera FCILT, UAE Board Member of Charted Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
Gunasekera said: “Dubai Trade is a leader for the development of professional practices and qualifying graduates working in the trade and logistics sector.
The overwhelming response to its programmes is a proof of its reputation for excellence and we believe that the Dubai Trade programmes add tremendous value to the development of future careersâ€
Eng. Mahmood Al Bastaki added: “Since we launched Dubai Trade, our priority has been to enable companies to adopt online services which facilitate import and export procedures. That means sharing knowledge and experience in the import and export sector with professionals in the businesses we deal with. The positive response of this industry has been significant and the interest in our programmes has grown to such an extent that they started to depend on CTLP to develop their professional
qualifications.â€
“As a result, we have been internationally recognised winning the “Training and Education Provider of the Year” award in consecutive years at the Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATA). We have since launched our new training program, a “Certified Customs Expert (CCE)” qualification which addresses the key elements and best procedures of customs processes and models in the
region.â€
