Dubai Parks and Resorts, set to become the Middle East’s largest integrated theme park destination on its opening in October this year, has announced its participation in this year’s Careers UAE, takes place from May 16-18 at the Dubai World Center, in search of skilled, bright Emirati talent. Job seekers will be interviewed by the destinations’ recruitment team onsite, while exceptional candidates who pass the interview process successfully will be offered employment contracts right away.
In line with the Dubai Plan 2021 and 7-Year National Agenda, Dubai Parks and Resorts’ goal is to invest in and grow a new generation of national talent for the leisure entertainment industry to ensure the long-term sustainability of the sector in the region. This complements the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to nurture and empower Emirati skillsets in all business sectors.
As part of its Emiratisation programme, Dubai Parks and Resorts aims to recruit close to 1,000 Emiratis, and has launched three initiatives so far; Forsati, Sahim, and Helmi, which offer Emiratis of all career levels, from new graduates to future leaders, an inspiring range of job opportunities.
Job seekers at Careers UAE will have the chance to meet the ten “Helmi” scholarship programme graduates, who recently returned from the United States after undertaking a six-month intensive course in Theme Park Management at the University of Central Florida, Orlando. “Helmi” programme graduates will share the knowledge and expertise they gained while working at several theme parks, as part of Dubai Parks and Resorts scholarship.
Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi, Dubai Parks and Resorts’ Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are very excited to be attending Careers UAE to meet the bright, young talent of our nation. As a UAE born company, investing in local skills is a priority for us and we hope to inspire close to 1,000 Emirati workers to join us in the dynamic theme park industry.”
