In continuation of the efforts made by Dubai Municipality to promote the Dubai Lamp, which was launched by the Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the municipality signed an MoU on Monday to co-operate in the field of energy and water conservation with local departments and institutions. The five entities with whom the municipality has signed the MoUs are the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Dubai World Trade Centre, Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Roads and Transport Authority and Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme.
Dubai Municipality, in partnership with each entity, will help carry out a feasibility study to assess the potential savings from using Dubai Lamp for indoor lighting.
