Latest Dubai Customs statistics revealed that the department received 129 suggestions and 948 enquires during the first half of 2017. Positive feedback on Dubai Customs services and products and the rate of commendation rose to 76 from 22 in the same period in 2016, a 250 percent rise.
The number of ideas and innovations submitted by clients and employees to boost Dubai Customs performance between 2004 and 2016 is 21,850. Revenues and reduction in costs achieved using the ideas and innovations amounts to AED1.34 billion. These ideas have helped reduce time and effort, and have facilitated work at Dubai Customs, thus raising it to a more internationally competitive level. They also played an important role in helping the UAE attain first place in MENA
and third worldwide on the efficiency of customs
procedures index.
Edris Behzad, Client Management Director and Director of the Happiness Team at Dubai Customs, pointed out that coherent partnerships and continual communication with clients have been key to Dubai Customs success. Dubai Customs Consultative Council was established to enhance communication with clients and partners and to help build mutual trust for further corporation.
He added, “The quality services that Dubai Customs provide and its great efforts to make its clients happier and more satisfied took the levels of clients’ happiness up to 97 percent, suppliers’ happiness up to 89 percent, and partners’ happiness up to 90 percent.”
