DHA Board of Directors discusses future development plans

The Board of Directors of Dubai Health Authority (DHA), underlined the importance of implementation of the 2016/2021 strategy to meet the rising medical sector demands in Dubai.
The board also emphasised the importance of implementing the developmental schemes focusing on five main themes that include growing human resources department, providing a creative work environment, diversifying investment in the health sector, developing benchmarks and creating a system for treatment.
The board, which met under the chairmanship of Humaid Al Qatami, Director- General of DHA, thanked Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for his care and support to the health sector. The board also thanked HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of the DHA, for his support to the developmental plans of the health sector. The board discussed current state of human resources department and shared some of its achievements, which include the launch of “You’re Our Pride” employee incentive, which aims to encourage employees to outperform at their workplace. Other achievements include the updating 75% of employee job descriptions, completing an electronic archive that includes more than 12,500 employees and filling 1,939 job vacancies, to name a few. The board discussed launching of ‘Thermometer Evaluation system’, to measure performance of employees in a precise and transparent manner.
