In a bid to boost national competencies and develop a qualified cadre of Emirati professionals, Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) will appoint 22 qualified UAE nationals to different roles at the Foundation. The move follows AMAF’s successful participation at the just-concluded 16th UAE Career Exhibition (Careers UAE) at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Through its participation, the Foundation aimed to attract talented young Emiratis to careers in the social and humanitarian sectors. AMAF representatives also emphasized the urgent need for UAE nationals to pursue careers in child care, caring for people with special needs, as well as in Islamic studies relevant to endowment. The Foundation’s efforts articulate its commitment to contribute to the UAE’s sustainability agenda.
Speaking on AMAF’s participation at Careers UAE, Huda Al Mannai, Director of the Department of Minors, from AMAF, said: “We are delighted to announce that we will appoint 22 experienced UAE nationals in financial, technical and administrative departments at AMAF. This move is in line with our efforts to articulate the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to invest in qualified Emirati professionals across all sectors of the economy. Social work is an important measure of the progress of a nation and we encourage young people to come forward and strengthen the UAE’s position in this important domain.”
She added: “We received around 1000 applications during the three-day fair and have taken a decision to give the most deserving candidates an opportunity to build their careers with us.”
Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation works to manage and develop endowment funds through investing them efficiently and leveraging investment proceeds according to a carefully prepared plan.
