Arab food security summit opens in Fujairah

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, opened on Tuesday at Fujairah Novatel Hotel the Fifth Arab Conference for Investment in Food Security, organised by Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah.
The two-day event is being held in association with the Federation of the Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, UAE Ministry of Climatic Change and Environment, and the Federation of GCC Chambers, in addition to the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Arab Organisation for Agricultural Development (AOAD), the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), and the Arab Fund for Food Processing
Industries.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa Date Palm Award and Agricultural Innovation, who is also the guest of honour, Sheikh Dr Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment.
