Majority of the establishments have reported 80% occupancy but expecting to reach full occupancy this week from last-minute bookings after the announcement that
the public sector would enjoy a week-long Eid holiday and three days for the private sector starting September 11.
Guests who have booked to spend their holiday in Ajman are staycationers from the UAE (expat and Arab families) and tourists from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries such as Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar. Other visitors come from India, Pakistan, Asian & African countries.
According to HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of ATDD, the tourism industry in Ajman is seeing better performance this Eid than
the previous Eid. “The hotels and hotel apartments are still in the pick-up mode and we are positive that the level of occupancy will be higher during the week of Eid Al Adha,”
he said.
Five-star hotels such as Ajman Saray, Fairmont Ajman, Kempinski Ajman and The Ajman Palace are already on 75% to 80% occupancy but still hoping for a strong pick up this week. Ewan Tower Hotel Apartments, Alain Hotel Apartments and Al Usra Furnished Apartments are on their first year of operation but already 75% to 80% booked for Eid.

“Guests travelling to Ajman are looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
“As Ajman has one of the finest beaches in the UAE, it is definitely the major attraction for the overseas visitors, and therefore as well the majority of our guests are coming to Kempinski Ajman to relax, to enjoy the 500-metre white sandy beach, and we want to offer them a serene getaway and a peaceful setting
during special occasions, such as Eid Al Adha,” commented Terje Abrams, Public Relations Manager of Kempinski Ajman.
