Upon the directive of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of the Emirates of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, the E-Government of Ajman is participating in the GITEX 2016. The preparations are complete, wherein 11 Ajman Government entities will showcase their latest technological applications and services to the world. This annual event will be held at World Trade Centre, Dubai from October 16-20.
This year the novel concept of presenting all the initiative and innovations has upped a notch because they will all be on a singular platform of Ajman E-Government under the aegis of the Executive Council of Ajman.
Her Excellency Uhood Ali Shuhail, Executive Director E-Government in the Emirates of Ajman explained that this participation comes as a reflection of the vision of United Arab Emirates and the 2021 Ajman Strategic Vision, which seeks to strengthen the strategy of implementing intelligent and smart solutions for the public. GITEX is the largest of its kind in the region and our participation at this prestigious event will witness the launch of numerous initiatives. Some of them are innovative services, technical solutions and smartphone apps along with introductory workshops aimed at enhancing the public awareness on the smart solutions available and the aspiration to become the smart city that regularly contributes to the happiness and welfare of its citizens and residents alike.
Ajman will be at GITEX for the second year in a row, this exhibition encompasses many companies, institutions both local and international that are specialized in information, communication and hi-tech solutions. E-government Ajman has organized many brainstorming sessions since the inception of this year, in order to finalize the best pavilion design for Ajman and ensure thorough communication is established between all the participating institutions. The e-government oversaw the development and criteria of the innovative initiatives that are selected to be showcased.
Executive Director e-government stated that 13 new services are likely to be launched at GITEX, they represent the best of the services and innovations to be presented to the audience that will face a lot of competition both from local and international institutions vying for their attention. E- government Ajman has aimed at Ajman being as a smart city whose vital governmental strategy of vision 2021 constitutes supporting and development of the latest services to ensure happy consumers and residents. Therefore, within this framework government entities utilize the technology to impart smart services and apps.
She expressed her hope that this participation will be an ideal exchange of knowledge and experience in this field of information and communication. It will assist us in developing technology to serve the community, customers and our strategic partners in the most efficient and effective of ways possible.
Her Excellency explained that the combined participation is a result of the 2021 vision of Ajman Government, which aims to further the march of development, making Ajman the hub of financial and economic progress wherein the citizens and residents well-being is the core value to adhere to. Public service thereby takes precedence and contemporary advancement has made it easier through the apps and online services.
GITEX is one of the most prominent leading event in the telecommunication and information industry across the region; it facilitates the networking of decision makers and trendsetters in the field. She further explained that the Ajman Government pavilion at GITEX 2016 would feature the remarkable services and app launched by the entities under the umbrella of the government. There will be extensive presentations and workshops catering to various technological tastes of the visitors, along with exciting launches.
