UAE has a comprehensive education system and its competency is recognisedworldwide. Taking a step forward, Dubai-based Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI) has launched ‘AMSI Voices’ — a programme aimed at harnessing the benefits of corporate networking by bringing alumni of different schools under one roof.
The annual event will aim at bringing together alumni and students on one platform to enhance the learning experience of the students and prepare them for ‘life after school’, equipped with advises and experiences of the alumni.
Designed to empower the graduating students through connecting with the schools’ alumni, AMSI Voices recently held its first edition themed ‘Girls Are Makers of Change’ in Dubai. Distinguished female AMSI alumni from diverse fields including HE Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy – UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Dubai Expo 2020, interacted with students during the event.
“Dare to dream, believe in your power and discover its cornerstones in you. Most importantly, never stop learning. Never underestimate the significance of the family in your life. Not only the family you were born into but also your larger family. I share with you the same message that the school instilled in me: respect your family and friends and this will reflect on your surroundings and your country,â€Al Hashimy, AMSI alum from class of 1995.
During the inaugural edition of the event, Alissar Nasr Soubra, AMSI alum of 1984 class, who is also the Chief Academic Officer of AMSI, said, “I am pleased to witness the highly engaging, focussed, and inspiring conversations at the inaugural edition of AMSI Voices.
“It is important to motivate students at an early stage and propel them on the path towards discovering their strengths and overcoming challenges,†she said.
In each edition, AMSI Voices will introduce a new theme to discuss and explore through panel discussions and mini-workshop sessions. The one-day event intends to provide the schools’ emerging youth with a robust platform to voice their opinions and concerns about various career paths.
