UAE, NZ encourage investment to serve common interest

HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Todd McClay, Minister of Trade of New Zealand, in the New Zealand capital, Wellington.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in key sectors between both countries, especially in the fields of agriculture and food security, and several other areas. They also exchanged views on the latest and current developments at the regional and international levels as well as discussing a number of issues of common concern.
Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the importance of exchanging visits between officials of the two countries in the framework of boosting bilateral cooperation. He also stressed the UAE’s keenness to extend bridges of cooperation with New Zealand and support all the steps that would encourage investment and diversify areas of
cooperation to serve the common interests of both sides.
The Minister of Trade of New Zealand commended the economic and trade partnerships between the UAE and New Zealand, calling for strengthening and activating these partnerships to keep pace with the great potentials and capabilities enjoyed by both countries.
