UAE, Japanese bodies seek strong ties in mutual investments

Officials from the UAE International Investors Council and the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), on Sunday met to discuss the prospects of signing of a memorandum of understanding to lay the foundation for cooperation in the area of mutual investments.
The two bodies will hold more meetings in the near future to further shape their cooperation, building on the historic relations between the UAE and Japan.
During the meeting, which was part of efforts to bolster relations between the two countries, the officials explored how to benefit from the Japanese agency’s experience to increase the flow of mutual investments.
The Secretary-General of the UAE International Investors Council Jamal Saif Al Jarwan said the council seeks to support economic development and diversification in the UAE as envisioned by the country’s leadership.
