His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received visiting Indian Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar.
Sheikh Mohamed and Minister Parrikar discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and India and ways to enhance them in the light of the distinguished bonds of friendship.
They also reviewed co-operation between the two countries in defence and military affairs as well as ways to boost co-ordination and exchange of expertise between the two sides.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and India’s Defence Minister also tackled a number of issues of joint interest and exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and the world.
Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince’s Court of Abu Dhabi, Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, T.P Seetharam, Ambassador of India to the UAE, and a number of Indian officials were also present.

HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, also received Manohar Parrikar, Indian Minister of Defence.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the Indian minister and the two parties discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them. They also reviewed co-operation in a number of areas between
the UAE and India. The two sides also discussed a number of issues of common interest and
exchanged views on current
regional and international developments.
