The UAE has been witnessing a growth in the sale of the solution-orientated products. Consumers have been focusing in on the style and personal well-being, leading to the premiumisation trend within the sector.
The cosmetic market in the region continues to be at a rapid growth in 2016, considering the inclination of the youngsters towards the industry. Euromonitor International released the figures revealing the retail value of the beauty and personal care market in the UAE is US$1.64 billion on beauty products whereas Saudi Arabia tops the chart with US$5.21 billion last year.
The retail sector of cosmetics and personal care tools will record an annual growth of 4.8 per cent for the period from 2014 to 2019. The study also suggested that the Emirates cosmetics markets could notice an exponential growth, which is expected to reach more than AED5.6 billion by 2018.
