Strong int’l contingent expected at GESS

A strong international contingent is expected to attend the 9th edition of the GESS Dubai, the leading education show and conference in the Middle East.
Over 500 exhibitors have so far confirmed their participation. Six different country pavilions are present at the show, including Korea, Finland, Germany, China, as well as the UK and the USA. Overall, international exhibitors represent some 35 countries all over the world who will be participating in the premier education exhibition and conference in the Middle East.
Among the highly reputed regional and international organisations lending their support to this year’s edition of GESS Dubai include the US Commercial Service, KOTRI, and the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS).
“The region has been witnessing the steady growth of the education sector, prompted by increase in population and a keen desire from public and private stakeholders to enhance standards and delivery of quality education. Over the years, GESS has been an instrumental platform for industry players to connect with decision makers in this part of the world, and we are delighted that more and more international exhibitors are using the exhibition as their gateway to securing business in the Middle East,” said Matt Thompson, Project Director, F&E Group, organisers of GESS Dubai, who also announced that GESS Dubai will be taking place at its new home at the New Zabeel Halls (4, 5 and 6) of the Dubai World Trade Centre on 1-3 March 2016.
Leading American education suppliers such as Scholastic Inc (Stand F45), the largest publisher and distributor of children’s books in the world, will be showcasing the Scholastic Literacy Pro / Literacy Pro Library, a digital assessment and e-book programme that provides an accurate and easy way to measure, monitor, and motivate reading achievement and behaviour; as well as My Arabic Library, the only levelled Arabic reading program that includes high-quality trade books with teaching and implementation support for grades K – 6.
Audience Systems (Stand M12), a first-time exhibitor at GESS Dubai, is a British designer, manufacturer and installer of high quality seating for theatres and multipurpose spaces. With seating already installed in many schools and universities in the Middle East, the company is looking for new representation in key markets across the region.
Germany-based Christiani (Stand D23), offers a wide range of teaching materials for technical-vocational education and training in the fields of mechanics, electrical engineering, automation, automotive technology and renewable energy. The materials range from specialist books, interactive learning media and projects to complex teaching systems together with sophisticated didactic materials.
